the show must go on

Well life seems to be returning to normal. School has been keeping my mind busy and surprisingly my long days are my better days. Both the photo classes have been enjoyable and I have learned quite a bit (even if I make mistakes at times). Some of the new people I have met continue to grow on me (in a good way of course). Work has been okay for the most part. It has its moments.

The four day weekend went by pretty fast. Mostly working. I actually couldn’t wait for school to return (as sad as that sounds). Tuesday and English sucked as usual and work seemed to be a turtle but it finally ended. This morning I surprisingly dragged my ass out of bed on time (and not wake up late like last Wednesday). Got out the door and to school with my lead foot. Web desgin went by fast. It is too easy. Art of Photo was slow as it was peer critique day. I awaited as Group 2 displayed their attempts at the motion assignment. Some seemed to forget what the hell the assignment was and others were good. Time ran out for me to present so I get to do it Monday. Oh boy. For the first hour of my two and a half hour break I spent it in the computer lab to work on my semester project for web. Going smooth so far but I am going to cheat and set up something fancy that I probably shouldn’t do. Oh well, I have like 100% in the class so who cares (that percentage also goes for Art of Photo and English). After that hour I hung out with Christina to burn off the second hour. Then it was time for Intro to Photo.

I grabbed my gear from the trunk and headed in. A few were already in there drying film they had just developed. We were supposed to take photos over the long weekend but I was too busy and it was too shitty outside for me to do anything. Luckily for me it was just another day for printing. The teacher gaves us some new instructions and we headed in. I started off with a photo of a swing set from the part to print. The first came out too bright so I went back and darkened. The second and third attempts were blurry so I refocused and did a forth. It came out sharp but the teacher wanted me to burn a bright section so I went back and did a fifth. Between these attempts I talked and joked with various people and one in particular. There is a girl in the class that has a sling for her arm that is recovering from an accident and surgery. She is pretty much the jokester of the class and known to everyone. I pretty much pick up most of her sarcasm so I return the favor at times. Close to the end of the class time we worked on getting the prints washed and dried like we did last week. She joked with the teacher that we are pretty much the only two to actually take time and do it which lead him to laugh and start picking on people to do it after our “great” work. When it was time to go she looked and said “You’re leaving me?” I laughed and said “I’ll see ya next week.” Good times.

As for tomorrow it is English. Whoop de doo. Then I have to get a smog check but my car is probably going to fail. Yee ha. Can we skip to Monday please? Thanks.
